TIPS FOR CAM GIRLS - Good Preparation
Our most important tips for cam girls on Chaturbate: Have a good Thumbnail Picture and Room Header. The more you move up the room preview page, the more people will join, and that’s critical, people often only look at the first few rows on the preview page, and you get up that high by getting a lot of viewers in the room.
You still have to be mindful of what the preview pic is showing – if it shows a dark room or someone sitting there on their phone, it’s not an enticing first impression to lure people into the room.
The volume of viewers in your room is your most important asset during a show, so bringing them in and keeping them is key, regardless of how hot or fun you are. To bring them in, your room needs to stand out, whether it be because of what you are doing, where you are doing it, or who is in the room. Once they are in, keeping them in is equally important, so don’t get up and leave the cam frequently, point the cam at the ceiling, turn off the sound, or only have one of you on when it’s a couple’s show. CB viewers are fickle and will quickly leave for another room if you are not keeping their attention.
When using goals or setting the room description for what you plan to do, be as specific as possible, people aren’t going to stick around if they have to guess what you’re going to do. Don’t use a description of “Tip to find out”, or “Surprise at goal!”, people want to know that if they tip x amount or reach a goal, you’re going to take your shirt off, have sex, or do naked jumping jacks.
Use hashtags to describe your show in the room description, people will often search based on keywords for what they are looking for. Some good examples of common hashtags to use when applicable: #couples #bigboobs #stockings #feet #rough #lush #tanlines #blonde #brunette #kinky
And beyond the hashtags, as a general comment, your room’s title is very important, especially the first 50 characters or so. The beginning of your title is what will show on the preview page with your preview pic and is what a lot of people browsing through pictures will look for, so use eye-catching language, and even put small icons in title like stars or hearts to grab attention.
TIPS FOR CAM GIRLS -
what should I do in my show?
So, beyond the technical aspects above, let’s talk about the actual show or performance itself. First, it’s key to have a goal so people know what to tip for, or have a game running to people can tip for a chance to win a prize immediately. These are two different kinds of shows, goals vs games, and while I wouldn’t say one is better than the other, they may have better uses depending on your plans for the show. I’ll say more about the different apps for goals and games a little later. Along those lines, if you’re not focused on the show, people are not going to join the room or stay. In general, if you’re absorbed in your phone, playing video games, or just not interacting with the people in the room, people are not going to go out of their way to try to capture your attention. Ideas for shows if you’re looking for something:, some light bondage, oil show (requires a tarp lol), food play (just keep sugar away from the vagina), role play, costumes/cosplay, stripper pole, dancing, ice play, play an instrument if you’re talented, make your own games if you’re crafty (wheels, prize boards – people appreciate you making an effort, makes them comfortable you’re taking the show seriously and will be back), black light shows, balloon shows, fashion show/dress up. … so many ways to make a show stand out. If you have a hobby or something you’re good at, try doing it naked, people will be interested in pretty much anything you do if you’re getting naked doing it.
Change Things! It’s also important to be creative in your shows and change things up. This can be as simple as changing the background (yes it’s surprising how much this works), or moving to a different room, or having a theme for a show. CB viewers want to see something they haven’t seen before, so no matter how much they love you, if every show is the same, they’re eventually going to move on. Some ideas for themes are: cooking shows, dress up/fashion shows, exploring different kinks (we all know how many there are, and people love to see you trying new things too, more of corrupting the innocent), black light shows, oil shows, using games that involve real life props and not just the apps (real spinning wheel, prizes in balloons, etc.), play an instrument if you know how, roleplay, costumes, sexy dancing, this list is endless, just be creative. Browse other rooms and see what people are doing.
You control whether the approval percentage (thumbs up / thumbs down) shows on your screen, and turning it off may be necessary if you’ve had a bad start, but generally it is good to have this on as it reminds people to vote, and those votes are important because they can attach the ‘Recommended’ tag to your preview pic and move you higher up the preview page, which are both key in bringing people to the room. Even if you’re not displaying the score, be sure to encourage people to vote. When recording videos for your bio, make sure no music is playing in the background, else CB will mute all audio in the recording when it is uploaded (copyright protection).
- Ask people to tip for audio or to see faces
- Walking away from cam for an extended period and leaving no one in the frame - when you leave, your viewers leave, and they are your most precious commodity.
- Block the view from the cam - you have to be 'cam aware' and always remember the cam angles and what people can see. Ideally you want to have a TV or monitor so you can easily see what everyone else can see.
- Change goals in the middle of a goal that people are actively tipping for - it's one thing to be a little indecisive, but if people are actively tipping you should stick with the goals you are working on. You can always skip ahead with Multi Goal (/skip) if a goal is going slowly, but don't close the app and start something else unless it is just not working at all.
- Don't follow up a hardcore goal with a softcore goal - Once people start seeing the Oral or sex goals hit, if the next one is rub oil on boobs, they're gonna stop tipping and possibly leave. You want to build and keep momentum as much as possible.
So, overall, just let people see you having fun, they’ll want to watch if you’re friendly and enjoying yourselves, and interacting with the audience. It really just comes down to what would make you join a room, stay in a room, and tip, that’s what you want to do when you’re broadcasting. Especially when you see people make big tips, talk to them (verbally) and say thanks and ask them questions…. people tip the most when they feel like they get to know you and enjoy hanging out in your room. It’s important to gain followers and get repeat customers, so that personal communication to make them feel special goes a long way. So the best things you can do to gather followers and repeat customers is stay in the public shows whenever possible, keep up a lively and positive conversation (good moderators should help with this), maintain good video quality and lighting, and try to change it up periodically and not do the same show every time. Believe it or not is actually about more than just the sex, make people feel appreciated. A couple rooms I help with will open gifts they get from their viewers as part of the show – this is a great example of involving the audience – it makes the person who sent the gift feel super appreciated, and really encourages others to do the same.
Find Moderator:
Another tip for cam girls on Chaturbate: Find and assign a moderator, someone who has tipped and taken part in the conversation in the room. You’ll almost never want to mod someone who asks for it (especially if gray or light blue), those are usually trolls looking for free shows or PM access. And you may not find the perfect one during your first show, so don’t feel like you have to keep someone’s moderator assignment if you find out you’ve been fooled or didn’t select wisely.
Tips for Cam Girls - Private Messages and Show
- Do not PM people who ask unless they have tipped generously. Taking away from your broadcast to answer one on one questions will be a turnoff to the rest of the room, and many of them will just leave.
- People will come into your room and beg you non-stop for PMs because they want 1 on 1 communication. It's ok to do PMs but you probably want to try to limit it to people who have tipped significantly, or else you'll be answering PMs all day, 90% of it spam, and ignoring the rest of the room, which is not going to help gather the followers you want. So, when you create your tip menu, if you want to allow PMs (and you don't have to), make sure it's at least 50 tokens or so for a PM, that way only people who are serious about it will ask. And remember, just because someone with the supporter membership PMs you, doesn't mean you need to respond, especially if they haven't tipped for it. Many broadcasters avoid PMs altogether during a broadcast so they can focus on the room and doing their show.
- Most commonly, people will want to PM you to ask about doing a private show. A few of these may be legitimate requests, but regardless, if you don't plan to do privates in the middle of a broadcast, which is my strong recommendation (see more details later on privates) you can also choose to use the Private Response in your Bot Settings as well to answer these requests. The Response is typically configured to read something like "We do not do privates during our broadcast, you can email me/us at [email address] or contact me/us on twitter at [twitter handle] to arrange a private."
Tips for Cam Girls - Privates and Group Shows
- Beyond the apps, two other ways to earn tokens are through Privates and Group shows, however, I don't recommend these when you're first starting out because it's so important to stay in the public shows to gain followers and repeat tippers. But as you learn how to do shows and use the site, Privates can be a good way to earn tokens, it's just important (imho) to do them separately from regular public shows, or advertise that's what you're doing for the show. It's also very important to understand expectations from someone before you accept a private - don't accept a random private from someone otherwise they may ask you for something you're not comfortable doing. Always best to discuss in a PM first or have them send you tip notes. They should always tip first to get a PM from you to discuss a private so you know they are serious - this is the most common way people will try to trick you into PM'ing them by saying they want to discuss a private.
- If you take privates during the public show, you'll lose most of the viewers and tippers you've worked so hard to get. And the viewers that do stay will be much less likely to tip anymore for fear you'll take another private, and may also give you negative votes on your feedback poll. You're essentially sacrificing the current show for that private because it takes a long time to recover, which is why you rarely ever see experienced rooms taking privates. So if people ask, just tell them to get in touch with you via email or twitter to schedule, if you even want to do them at all. People will pay a lot for them sometimes, but it's completely up to you whether you like doing those kinds of shows. Again your moderator will typically handle a lot of this communication for you.
- I typically recommend people turn them off during public shows unless it gets really slow. There's settings for that too that say when you're allowing privates or group shows, and when you are the links show up under the video window. Privates are basically when one person gets to watch you and chat with you and you charge them a high rate per minute, so they usually are not a good idea to use when you're just starting out because you want to get as many people as possible in your room and following you.

Tips for Cam Girls - User Settings
- Send private message - You can send another user a 'PM' or 'Private Message' that no one else can see. It shows up under a new tab once you send one or someone sends one to you. Only Moderators, Fan Club Members, and Chaturbate Supporters can send you a PM, for everyone else you have to initiate one. As noted before, do not PM someone just because they ask, most are scammers or freeloaders, make sure people tip you for a PM or better yet just use tip noted. Doing 1 on 1 communication with someone takes away from everyone else in the room.
- Mention this user - Will start a chat line with the user's name tagged with '@', so they will see their name highlighted in the chat in your message and it will stick out to them. Note you can also do this by typing a '@' followed by the beginning of their username and then selecting them from the pop-up list.
- Ignore this user - You will no longer see messages from this user but the rest of the room will. This is not typically used by broadcasters since you want to see what is said in your room.
- Report this message - You can report users who have sent an abusive message.
- Silence for 6 hours (broadcasters and moderators) - This will allow a user to stay in your room, but no longer chat with you, unless they send a message in a tip note. The first level usually of dealing with a rude person in the chat, or people that don't follow the room rules, or continually beg for things for free. Moderators can silence users for you as well. This also now has the option of undoing a silence if you silence the wrong person - a link will be shown in the chat at the time you silence them. Also, if a moderator silences someone, a message is shown to the broadcaster that allows them to also ban them, so you no longer have to leave the chatter showing in the room so the broadcaster can find them easier, silence them immediately.
- Kick/Ban - (broadcasters only) Lets you ban a person from your room. Kicking them out keeps them from accessing your room for a period of 1 to 2 months, but they can return eventually. This is usually the second step in getting rid of rude users, however feel free to use this on anyone who is being abusive, you don't have to silence them first.
- Promote to Moderator - (broadcasters only) Assign someone to be your mod, you typically want to ask them first to make sure they are ok with it, not everyone wants the added responsibility. Once you've promoted someone, this option becomes "Revoke Moderator Status", so if you make a mistake, you can undo it.

Persistence Pays Off None of what we´ve mentioned here is too elaborate, but it is going to take some work, and some time. Nothing is going to happen overnight for webcam model, but if you keep at it, it will happen. If you make a habit out of self-promotion, you’ll see your fan base grow steadily. As your fan base grows, you’ll start to see more repeat customers. As you get to know more of your repeat customers, you’ll start to see your income grow. Once that happens, the sky is the limit. How far you take it is completely up to you.
We are here to help you with all this, if you want to find out more contact us.
