How to find a Webcam Model Job and what you should consider when choosing a webcam model studio.
How to find the right Webcam Model Studio
You’ve probably seen many webcam studios hiring models. It’s important to find the webcam studio that is right for you. We want you to have a positive experience in the webcam industry, even if you’re not working with us! Here is some helpful advice on how to choose a webcam studio.
Don’t webcam model for a company that also shoots adult content. They don’t help their webcam models make as much money as possible webcamming, in hopes that they can get them into the adult content business instead. At the very least, they don’t take webcam models seriously as they are a small portion of their business.
Be wary of “work from home” only webcam companies. If they don’t also have a studio location, they expect you to supply your own equipment and figure everything out on your own. Their models make the least amount of money and last a short time. With no overhead costs, they don’t care how little you earn, it’s all profit for them.
Be careful of companies offering computers to use at home for webcamming. Because it’s their computer, they load these computers with spyware. They see everything you do on the computer including your passwords. They track the location of the computer and can even turn on the camera. If any offer is too good to be true, it’s not real.
There are many people attempting to make money claiming to be a webcam studio without being a licensed business. If the company doesn’t have a professional corporate website, a branded cam site, business cards, or checks with the business name on them, be cautious because they may not be reputable.
Webcam models make more money working separately. If someone claiming to run a webcam studio tells you to work with other models or themselves, they may not be in this business for the money. Also, real webcam studios are in office spaces, you should never be working out of someone else’s home.
You should look up any company you might consider working for on the CIPC website to see if it is a licensed business and what it’s current status is. Remember, even legitimate webcam studios can be quite different from each other. Some are great postive places to work at. Others can be pushy and controlling, creating a very negative experience. There is also a wide range of amenities and benefits a webcam studio may provide, so ask a lot of questions before you fill out any applications. You can always reach out to us, even to ask us about other studios.
